London or regional UK?
London offers a concentration of independent clinics and hospitals, but the right comparison is the specific service and working pattern. Regional markets can bring different patient populations, referral networks, commuting and on-call expectations. Ask how much of the role is based at one site and how much travel or remote work is involved.
Registration and right to work
A doctor must establish the registration and licence to practise needed for the proposed work. GP and specialist registration are separate statuses from a general licence; the employer should clarify which applies to the appointment. Immigration permission, when needed, is a separate question.
